At the Foundation for Scottish Athletics, we are dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich traditions of Scottish Highland Games athletics throughout Florida and beyond. As a nonprofit organization, we support athletes of all ages and skill levels while helping festivals and communities bring the excitement, culture, and heritage of the Highland Games to life. From traditional heavy athletics competitions and live scoring to community outreach, youth engagement, and adaptive athlete opportunities, our mission is to grow the sport and build a welcoming, supportive Highland Games family for everyone involved.

Help Us Save the St. Augustine Celtic Festival & Highland Games

The Foundation for Scottish Athletics is working alongside members of the community to explore what it will take to continue the St. Augustine Celtic Festival & Highland Games.

The response has already been incredible. Athletes, musicians, clans, vendors, organizers, businesses, and community members have reached out asking how they can help. We are currently building a team of volunteers and gathering the information needed to determine what is possible.

Our vision is to begin with a smaller-scale event centered around the traditions that have made this weekend so special — Highland Games, Scottish clans, vendors, local musicians, and the community coming together to celebrate Celtic heritage.

One of our first priorities is determining the costs of securing the field, permits, insurance, facilities, equipment, entertainment, and the many other expenses required to make the event possible.
